These foods include all refined sugars and carbohydrates. So if you’ve got any cakes, biscuits, ice cream, chocolate, white bread, white pasta etc, chuck them out. You can bet your bottom dollar that these foods, as much as you love them, are responsible for you having man boobs – the one source of misery in your life.

Other foods that need to be thrown out because of their effect on increasing estrogen in your body, include dairy, alcohol, and processed foods that contain chemical preservatives. Once you’ve gotten rid of these foods from your kitchen you won’t be as tempted to eat them.

Step #2: Start having foods that SHRINK man boobs

Some foods have been found to actively reduce the size of man boobs, just like they shrink female breasts and cure breast tenderness in both men AND women. If you’ve tried any sort of man boob exercise before, I’m sure you’ve realized that chest workouts like push-ups and bench presses just don’t work. That’s because all they do is build the muscle underneath. They do little or nothing to burn the overlying breast fat.

To get rid of man boobs through exercise, you need to do workouts that are known to stimulate the body’s fat-burning mechanism. If you combine this with the dietary tactics of steps 1 and 2 above, your body will automatically focus on burning more chest fat.

Exercises that stimulate the body’s fat burning mechanism include cardiovascular workouts like swimming, jogging/running, skipping, boxing, etc. They also include specific weight training workouts, namely barbell squats, deadlifts and dips.

      I’m afraid Paypal and Clickbank are the only payment methods available at present. One thing other Indian customers without credit cards have done, is asked someone else with a credit card to make the payment for them. Note, I don’t have many resources other than a treadmill and two 9 pound weights.     • Hi Andrew

      I had the same experience with running. I’m assuming you are doing steady state cardio where you run at a moderate pace for 10-20 minutes, up to an hour or longer? Whatever steady state cardio exercise you do, be it running, cycling or swimming, you’ll always hit that same standstill in your progress. Some people can make it work through shear determination and persistence, but most of us end up giving up.

      In the past I have done all three of these exercises and others using steady state cardio, and the result has always been the same. You lose some fat initially, then it stops working. You push harder by doing it for longer or increasing the intensity, you see some more results, then you stall again… until the point where you just can’t push any harder and you’re still fat!

      Steady state cardio is a bad way to lose body fat, and it’s a worse way to lose man boobs. I could list 101 different reasons why, but I have already explained this in detail in other articles on this website and in my paid programs.

      The form of exercise you SHOULD be doing include high intensity interval training, and resistance training.

      If you don’t have much in the way of equipment, my resistance training program, the Chest Sculpting Blueprint, will give you all the info you need to train from home with minimal equipment.

      If you can’t get my programs, then the advice I would give you is to stick to body-weight exercises at home. Get good at doing pullups (for back, biceps and abs), pushups or dips (for chest and triceps), handstand pushups (for shoulders and triceps), and squats (for legs. Don’t fall into the trap of doing too many repetitions of each exercise. Once you get to 3 sets of 10 reps, start adding resistance using weighted backpacks etc.

      This method won’t get you results as fast as the training program in the Chest Sculpting Blueprint, but it will get you an excellent end result.

      In terms of food, read the diet section of my other site. I suggest a low carb diet, with your diet consisting mainly of meat, fish, eggs, veggies, and nuts’n seeds. Avoid all grain-based carbs like rice and flour-based products (cakes, biscuits, pasta). Avoid sugar and artificial sweeteners. Avoid starchy veggies like potatoes. Get yourself some ketostix, so you can check to see that you are in a state of ketosis. As long as you are in ketosis, you will continue to burn fat for fuel, and you should soon be as lean as you’d like to be 🙂

    • Hey Saim, great to hear you’ve started hitting the gym! We all have bad foods we can’t resist! I can’t resist the occasional pizza and donner kebab. But the key is eating right the majority of the time, namely 80% of the time. You can use those delicious bad foods as a TREAT to reward yourself for staying in line the rest of the time.

      I would get SICK of pizza and donner kebab if I had it every day. The secret to ensure your favorite foods keep tasting delicious, is to only indulge in them occasionally.

    I am 30 year old guy , I am very active , I to mountaineering , rock climbing and badminton. I also go to gym but I do have fat on my body (belly and love handles) but my main problem is man boobs , I do loads of push ups and chest exercise 2ce a week.       The trouble with traditional methods of body fat reduction, is enough studies have confirmed that they kill your testosterone levels. Traditional steady state cardio definitely does this. Whether strength training kills or boosts your T levels all depends on how you were training – your training duration, intensity, frequency, etc. I’m not sure what type of dietary changes you made to lose your weight, but both low calorie and low fat diets are known to reduce testosterone levels.

      When you lose weight with methods that reduce your testosterone levels, it results in something that I have seen all too often – you lose fat from everywhere in your body, EXCEPT from your chest.

  17. Garry, I must say your info has helped me alot and thanks for that. I just wanted you to look at what I’ve been doing and get your opinion. Basically i just have some porridge in the morning and for lunch i dig into some organic baked beans and my snacks are mostly just fruits. Plus, I wanted to also have some turmeric in water everyday. I also do HIIT 3 times a week. I am getting alot of results but my chest isn’t fully flat yet. However i’ts getting there i’m 18 so how long do you think it’ll take.

      Oats are a bit of a grey area. On one hand they help boost testosterone, on the other, they are a grain-based carb, which doesn’t help with body fat reduction. If you have excess body fat or man boobs, I would suggest not eating any oats to begin with. Once you have a flat chest and ideal body weight, you can start reintroducing oats into your diet, since they do have lots of health benefits. Make sure you eat your oats with water rather than with milk, since milk is not very good when it comes to losing man boobs.

      Beans are not very good either. They have a good micronutrient profile, but are very carb dense.

    • Hi Jerry, it totally depends on how much long distance cardio you do. If you overdo it (say you do an hour a day, almost every day of the week), you’re likely to increase your resting cortisol levels and decrease your resting testosterone levels. Endurance athletes are known to have lower resting testosterone levels than the average sedentary male. But if you’re doing, say, 20 minutes a day, or 20 minutes every other day, that shouldn’t interfere all that much with the rest of your training.

      In the end, the most important thing to do is to listen to your body. If you feel like you’re training too much, if you are suffering from symptoms of overtraining, then you need to cut back on your training.

    Greetings from the Caribbean. I am now 38 yrs old, at Puberty when my nipples were hurting I pressed them hard to kill the pain although it pained me a lot and now the lump under the nipples is tough and wouldn’t go away though the pain had disappeared. When I was 68 kilograms in weight they were less noticeable but since I gained some weight (now I am 73 kilograms) they look embarrassing, what is the your recommendation?

    • Hey Sameh. Sounds like you have something called “persistent pubertal gynecomastia”. You had pubertal gynecomastia with an active hormonal component during puberty. High levels of the female hormone estrogen resulted in the enlarged, tender breast glands you describe.

      Over time, the hormonal problem corrected itself, but by the time it happened, your glands underwent a process called “fibrosis”, where they harden and supposedly no longer respond to hormones.

      Most doctors will tell you that the only way to treat persistent pubertal gynecomastia is via surgery. However, studies have shown that persistent pubertal gynecomastia does respond to medical therapy. If it responds to medical therapy, then it can respond to the natural approach too.

      My recommendation to you is to use the natural hormone-manipulating methods of male breast reduction to try and get rid of your breast glands, or to at least improve your appearance to the point where your glands are no longer noticeable.

    I bought your book and the chest sculpting blueprint and have been following the total body workout with progressive micro loading. However, I’m having trouble increasing the weight while doing the front squats and can’t leave a rep in the tank. I used to workout earlier and kind of neglected the leg workout then. Any suggestions on how to bust this plateau?

    • Hi Ashu

      I go into detail about different methods for getting past a plateau in the Advanced Chest Sculpting Series.

      Here are three different things you can try:

      1. Pick up a heavier weight and start doing 5×5 with a 2-3 minute rest interval between sets. Remember that with 5×5, the first two sets are warm-up sets with a slightly lighter weight. Load progressively, aiming to get to as heavy a weight as possible. Give it a few weeks, then give the 3 sets of 10 reps a try again.

      2. Pick up a much lighter weight and start doing 4 sets of 15 reps with a 1 minute rest interval. This workout is SERIOUSLY draining, but it will make the usual 10×3 seem like a walk in the park when you later get back to it. Loading progressively here isn’t as important as in #1 above, but do it if you can.

      3. Do 3 sets of 10 reps with EXPLOSIVE concentric (positive, against gravity) movements, being sure to do the eccentric (negative, with gravity) movement slowly. Since your exercises are limited by the concentric movement, you’ll find this allows you to lift a heavier weight. Once you’ve reached the heaviest weight you can lift explosively, stay on the same weight for a while, and you’ll gradually find you can start to slow down on the concentric.

    • Hi Michael. Eating out a lot could definitely contribute to weight gain and developing man boobs.

      One thing you can do is avoid the grain-based carbs and the starches. For example, avoid fries and soda. When you eat burgers, throw away the buns and eat the salad and the meat.

      If you stick to eating mostly meat, fish, eggs, nuts, seeds, fruits and veggies, while avoiding grain-based carbs, sugars and starches, you most definitely can lose weight AND lose man boobs if you’re always eating out.

      However, if you value your long-term health, then you and your family should definitely make an effort to start preparing your own food at home using healthy whole-foods with no artificial additives.

          Though being vegetarian isn’t ideal, my program does work for vegetarians.

          The problem with being vegetarian is the over-reliance on grains like rice and flour-based products like pasta. As a vegetarian wanting to lose man boobs, you’ll have to base your diet on mostly vegetables (avoiding starchy veggies like potatoes), nuts, seeds and eggs.

      My program isn’t zero carb, it’s low carb, grain-free, but you can still get plenty carbs from fruits and veggies. You won’t lose your 15 inch arms as long as you continue training.

      The methods in my program work whether you have large man boobs or small man boobs. If your man boobs are particularly big though, you’ll have to be more diligent in your efforts, and it will take you a little longer.

      You don’t need to join a gym, my methods can be done at home. It would help though if you had access to a barbell or dumbbells with weight plates, though you can still make do without by doing bodyweight exercises.

      Cardio is not the way to lose man boobs. Most people also end up making the wrong dietary changes, like going on a low calorie and/or low fat diet. All of these changes end up reducing your testosterone levels, and to lose man boobs you need to BOOST testosterone.
